Author’s Note + Disclaimer:
This poem was created during my creative writing course during my graduating spring semester. Originally, I approached poetry as a ‘Dr. Seuss-esque’ type of genre that needed rhyming lines, and because I didn’t write like that, I believed that it didn’t work for me. But I quickly realized that that wasn’t true.
This poem was my very first poem submitted for a grade. When you read, all I ask is that you be courteous, cite me as a source if you quote me, and comment your thoughts below. This is a copyrighted piece! Enjoy <3.
Synopsis:
A simple Poem about a King Bumble Bee with pollen coating his hind legs like in the image above, I explore the help a child gives to this bumblebee looking for something sweet, Honeydew juice. The child adores nature and often frequents their garden in the morning to see the animals. I likened the pollen to parmesan, the honey is a double entendre for honeybees, and the honeydew that Grover, the bee, competes for.
